A blind man
Mark 8:22-26
22 They came
to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch
him.
23 He took
the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on
the man's eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?”
24 He looked
up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.”
25 Once more
Jesus put his hands on the man's eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was
restored, and he saw everything clearly.
26 Jesus
sent him home, saying, “Don't go into the village.”
A man with dropsy
Luke 14:1-6
1 One
Sabbath, when Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee, he was
being carefully watched.
2 There in front
of him was a man suffering from dropsy.
3 Jesus
asked the Pharisees and experts in the law, “Is it lawful to heal on the
Sabbath or not?”
4 But they
remained silent. So taking hold of the man, he healed him and sent him away.
5 Then he
asked them, “If one of you has a son or an ox that falls into a well on the
Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull him out?”
6 And they
had nothing to say.
Ten lepers
Luke 17:11-19
11 Now on
his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and
Galilee.
12 As he was
going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance
13 and
called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”
14 When he
saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they
were cleansed.
15 One of
them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.
16 He threw
himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.
17 Jesus
asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?
18 Was no
one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?”
19 Then he
said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
