I said a prayer for you

I said a prayer for you today

And know God must have heard;

I felt the answer in my heart

Although He spoke no word.

I don’t ask for wealth or fame,

I knew you wouldn’t mind,

I asked Him to send treasures

Of a far more lasting kind.

I asked that He’d be near you

At the start of each new day

To grant you health and blessings

And friends to share your way.

I asked for happiness for you

In all things great and small

But it was His loving care

I prayed for most of all.

Daily Thoughts

. God gave you a message to share. Don’t keep it to yourself!

. Good deeds don’t make a Christian, but a Christian does good deeds.

. Two Christians are better than one--when they’re one.

. God may delay or deny our request.

. Oh, that my ways were directed to keep your statutes! Then I would not be ashamed.

. To understand the Word of God, rely on the Spirit of God.

. The best fathers not only give us life--they teach us how to live.

. Riches are a blessing only to those who make them a blessing to others.

Holiness of God

1 Peter 1:10-12

10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care,

11 trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.

12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

James 5:15

And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.

James 5:14

Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.

James 4:1-2

1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you?

2 You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God.

James 3:1

Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

Hebrews 12:3

Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Hebrews 4:2

For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith.

Titus 3:5

he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,

Titus 2:11-14

11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.

12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,

13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,

14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

Faith Quote

Rex Rouis - ”Hope will have it sometime. Faith has it now. Believing acts on it now.”

Rex Rouis - ”In the same way that salt without taste is worthless, and a lamp that is covered is useless, so faith without actions is lifeless.”

Unknown – “As our faith increases, so does our ability to obey.”

Unknown - “Faith is the vision of the heart; it sees God in the dark as well as in the day.”

Matthew 6:33

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Thoughts on Today's Verse....

Seek — pursue relentlessly — God's Lordship over your life and the righteousness that he demands in your daily life. The other stuff you pursue is all temporary. Only God and his Kingdom remain. In the process of pursuing God's kingdom and his righteousness, you will find that the God who gives you his Kingdom and righteousness, also will bless you with the things in this life that you need.

Worship

Regardless of the reaction of others, one thing is certain: True worship and devotion will make our lives fragrant and will perfume the environment around us. Our homes, our churches, even our places of work will bear the sweet scent of our devotion. Most important, the Lord Jesus will be pleased. And ultimately that is all that really matters. - Nancy Leigh DeMoss
Adoration is the spontaneous yearning of the heart to worship, honour, magnify, and bless God. We ask nothing but to cherish him. We seek nothing but his exaltation. We focus on nothing but his goodness. -  Richard J. Foster

When I give thanks, my thoughts still circle about myself to some extent. But in praise my soul ascends to self-forgetting adoration, seeing and praising only the majesty and power of God, His grace and redemption. -   O. Hallesby

Quotes

“Success is built on the ability to do better than good enough." -- Author Unknown

Eternal Things

Salvation

Isaiah 45:17

But Israel will be saved by the LORD with an everlasting salvation; you will never be put to shame or disgraced, to ages everlasting.

Isaiah 51:6

Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. But my salvation will last forever, my righteousness will never fail.

Hebrews 5:9

And, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him

Redemption

Hebrews 9:12

He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.

Inheritance

Hebrews 9:15

For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.

Psalms 37:18

The days of the blameless are known to the LORD, and their inheritance will endure forever.

Psalms 37:29

The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.

Evangelism

"One of our troubles is we are not willing to humble ourselves. We are not willing to give up our opinions as to how things should be done. We want a revival to come just in our way. You never saw two revivals come just alike. We must let them come in God's way. People are ashamed to admit they need a revival. If you are not willing to take the shame on yourself, you then let it remain on Jesus Christ. You must bear the reproach of your sinful state of indifference, or the cause of our Master must bear it." - Mordecai Ham

Danger of Attitudes in the Body of Christ

1 Timothy 6:3-5

3 If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching,

4 he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions

5 and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.

Titus 3:9-11

9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.

10 Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him.

11 You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.

James 3:14-16

14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.

15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil.

16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

1 John 2:9-11

9 Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness.

10 Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble.

11 But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him.

1 John 3:10-18

10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.

11 This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.

12 Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous.

13 Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you.

14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death.

15 Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.

16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

17 If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?

18 Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

Certainty of the Resurrection of Christ and all men

Daniel 12:2

Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.

John 5:28-29

28 “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice

29 and come out—those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

13 Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.

14 We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

15 According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

18 Therefore encourage each other with these words.

Revelation 20:4-6

4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

5  (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.

6 Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

Revelation 20:11-15

11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.

13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done.

14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.

15 If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Believe in the ligh

Believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light.

2 Peter 1:19

And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

1 John 1:5

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.

1 John 1:7

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

1 John 2:8

Yet I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in him and you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining.

1 John 2:9-10

9 Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness.

10 Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him
stumble.

James 1:17

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Revelation 21:10-11

10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.

Revelation 21:23

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

Revelation 21:24

The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.

Revelation 22:5

There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.

A Glorious Interlude

A Glorious Interlude

Matthew 17:4

Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.”

A glorious interlude provides:

1. A brief moment of relief from the troubles of this world

2. A new and greater perspective of life

3. The strength to hold on until the end

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

16 Be joyful always;

17  pray continually;

18  give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Thoughts on Today's Verse....

Where does your heart live? That's what these verses are all about. It's about where we spend the most time with our hearts. Is there a constant awareness in your life that God is present? Is he the unseen but always present companion in all your ups and downs? Or is God here when it is convenient and gone when things are busy or we feel that everything is going okay? Joy comes from knowing we are never alone. Prayer is the ongoing conversation we have, Spirit to Spirit, child to Abba, human with God. Thanksgiving and joy are the great reminders that we have been blessed no matter what the outward circumstances imply.

Evangelism:

"A great many people do not pray because they do not feel any sense of need. The sign that the Holy Spirit is in us is that we realize that we are empty, not that we are full. We have a sense of absolute need. We come across people who try us, circumstances that are difficult, conditions that are perplexing, and all these things awaken a dumb sense of need, which is a sign that the Holy Spirit is there. If we are ever free from the sense of need, it is not because the Holy Spirit has satisfied us, but because we have been satisfied with as much as we have. ‘A man's reach should exceed his grasp.’ A sense of need is one of the greatest benedictions because it keeps our life rightly related to Jesus Christ." - Oswald Chambers

Your Kingdom Come

Satan rules this world

1 John 5:19

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

Revelation 20:3-7

3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.

7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison
Satan rules through human authority

Revelation 13:2-4

2 The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.

3 One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast.

4 Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?”

Ephesians 6:12

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Ways wisdom is used

Acts 7:22

Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in speech and action.

Human philosophy and religion

Colossians 2:23

Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.

Galatians 1:14

I was advancing in Judaism beyond many Jews of my own age and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

Earthly sensual devilish wisdom

James 3:14-16

Prophetic anointing

Luke 11:49

Because of this, God in his wisdom said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and others they will persecute.’

Godly training

Luke 2:40

And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him.

Luke 2:52

And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

Anointing to speak

Luke 21:25

“There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.

1 Corinthians 2:7

No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.

Tempting God and Christ

Murmuring

Exodus 17:3

But the people were thirsty for water there, and they grumbled against Moses. They said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?”

Numbers 14:2

All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, “If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this desert!

Numbers 14:27-29

27 “How long will this wicked community grumble against me? I have heard the complaints of these grumbling Israelites.

28 So tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the LORD, I will do to you the very things I heard you say:

29 In this desert your bodies will fall—every one of you twenty years old or more who was counted in the census and who has grumbled against me.

Numbers 14:36

So the men Moses had sent to explore the land, who returned and made the whole community grumble against him by spreading a bad report about it—

Numbers 16:11

It is against the LORD that you and all your followers have banded together. Who is Aaron that you should grumble against him?”

Numbers 16:41

The next day the whole Israelite community grumbled against Moses and Aaron. “You have killed the LORD's people,” they said.

Numbers 17:5

The staff belonging to the man I choose will sprout, and I will rid myself of this constant grumbling against you by the Israelites.”

Numbers 17:10

The LORD said to Moses, “Put back Aaron's staff in front of the Testimony, to be kept as a sign to the rebellious. This will put an end to their grumbling against me, so that they will not die.”

Deuteronomy 1:27

You grumbled in your tents and said, “The LORD hates us; so he brought us out of Egypt to deliver us into the hands of the Amorites to destroy us.

Philippians 2:14

Scriptures for Tithing

Deuteronomy 14:28

At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of that year's produce and store it in your towns,

2 Chronicles 31:5

As soon as the order went out, the Israelites generously gave the first fruits of their grain, new wine, oil and honey and all that the fields produced. They brought a great amount, a tithe of everything.

Nehemiah 10:38

A priest descended from Aaron is to accompany the Levites when they receive the tithes, and the Levites are to bring a tenth of the tithes up to the house of our God, to the storerooms of the treasury.

Proverbs 3:9-10

9 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops;

10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.

Ezekiel 44:30

The best of all the first fruits and of all your special gifts will belong to the priests. You are to give them the first portion of your ground meal so that a blessing may rest on your household.

Amos 4:4

“Go to Bethel and sin; go to Gilgal and sin yet more. Bring your sacrifices every morning, your tithes every three years.

Malachi 3:8-10

“Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How do we rob you?’ “In tithes and offerings.

9 You are under a curse—the whole nation of you—because you are robbing me.

10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.

Matthew 23:23

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.

1 Corinthians 16:1-2

Now about the collection for God's people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do.
2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.

Hebrews 7:1-4

1 This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him,

2 and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, his name means “king of righteousness”; then also, “king of Salem” means “king of peace.”

3 Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, like the Son of God he remains a priest forever.

4 Just think how great he was: Even the patriarch Abraham gave him a tenth of the plunder!

Remember the Fragments

Matthew 14:20

They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

1. Fragments have life-saving value

2. God tests our stewardship with fragments

3. God still knows how to multiply fractions

Leviticus 19:18

“‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.

Thoughts on Today's Verse....

Hanging on to bitterness and keeping alive grudges is consuming work. It leaves little energy for blessing others, praising God, or enjoying life. The only way to get over a bitter heart toward others is to actively love and serve them in ways that bless their lives. If we can't do this because it's hard to feel like it is the right thing to do, we do it because we know God and want to please him!

God’s Word for God’s people

John 17:18

As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.

Thoughts on This Verse....

We are not here by accident! God has a purpose and plan for us. Jesus has sent us into the world to touch it with his redemption and make a positive impact on it for him.

Do not say, “I'll pay you back for this wrong!” Wait for the LORD, and he will deliver you.

Peace with God

Romans 5:1-2

1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

Peace with God is acquired when we have faith in Jesus

Peace with God is acquired when Jesus gives us access to God

Peace with God is acquired when God extends his grace

While We Were Yet Sinners

Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Christ loved us when we were unlovely

Christ loved us when we were unworthy

Christ loved us when we uncaring

Our Hope Is Not in Vain

Romans 8:18

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Our hope is not in vain because:

Trouble makes us cling to our hope

God consoles us in our sufferings

Troubles don’t last always

The Transforming Power of God

Romans 12:2

“Old” Things in Scripture

Lion

Nahum 2:11

Where now is the lions’ den, the place where they fed their young, where the lion and lioness went, and the cubs, with nothing to fear?

Women

Zechariah 8:4 This is what the LORD Almighty says: “Once again men and women of ripe old age will sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with cane in hand because of his age.

Bottles

Joshua 9:4

They resorted to a ruse: They went as a delegation whose donkeys were loaded with worn-out sacks and old wineskins, cracked and mended.

Matthew 9:17

Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”

Wine

Luke 5:39

And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”

Men

Joel 1:2

Hear this, you elders; listen, all who live in the land. Has anything like this ever happened in your days or in the days of your forefathers?

Joel 2:28

sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace,

Keep Your Eyes on Jesus

Matthew 14:30  But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

As Christians, we are challenged to keep our eyes on Jesus because:

1. Our faith is forever on trial

2. Pride goeth before fall

3. Jesus specializes in lifting the fallen

Daily Thoughts

` We lose the joy of living in the present when we worry about the future.`

` Life is not about the prizes we win, but the people we love.

` Earth has no sorrow that heaven does not feel.

` With God’s Word as you map and His spirit as your compass, you’re sure to stay on course.

` Listen--then obey.

. Continual growing in Christ comes from a deepening knowledge of Him.

. The more we serve Christ, the less we will serve self.

. The same Christ who talks about the glories of heaven also describes the horrors of hell.

Quotes

A rich life consists fundamentally of serving others, trying to leave the world a little better than you found it." - Cornel West

"In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently." -Tony Robbins

Ask yourself this; 'Are you a human being having a spiritual experience, or a spiritual being having a human experience? - Wayne Dyer

Lay

Lay burdens upon men

Matthew 23:4

They tie up heavy loads and put them on men's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.

Lay sick

Mark 1:30

Simon's mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they told Jesus about her.

Mark 2:4

Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus and, after digging through it, lowered the mat the paralyzed man was lying on.

John 5:3

Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed.

Lay dawn life for others

John 10:15-18

15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.

17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again.

18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”

John 13:37-38

37 Peter asked, “Lord, why can't I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”

38 Then Jesus answered, “Will you really lay down your life for me? I tell you the truth, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times!

John 15:13

Greater love has no one than this that he lay down his life for his friends.

1 John 3:16

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

Jeremiah 23:24

Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?” declares the LORD. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the LORD.

Thoughts on Today's Verse....

There is no hiding from God, but for those who willingly and joyously seek him, there is comfort, power, and hope in knowing his presence is ever with us.

2 Thessalonians 3:3

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

Thoughts on Today's Verse....

It's amazing to me how Satan knows our "silver bullet sins" — those sins that can especially wound and disable us from the work of Christ. Commit in your heart to ask God to protect you, your family, and one other person (you'll silently and daily support in prayer) from the attacks of the evil one.

Faith Quotes

Tocqueville, Alexis De – “Despotism may govern without faith, but liberty cannot. How is it possible that society should escape destruction if the moral tie is not strengthened in proportion as the political tie is relaxed? And what can be done with a people who are their own masters if they are not submissive to the Deity?”

Rex Rouis -”Doubt sees what currently is and no more. Hope sees what can be but is not yet. Faith sees what will be as if it were now.”

Daily Thoughts

` We honor God’s name when we call Him our Father and live like His Son.

` The purpose of sharing God’s truth is to profit others, not to prosper ourselves.

` The purpose of sharing God’s truth is to profit others, not to prosper ourselves.

` Everyone must face God as Savior or Judge.

` When we love God, we will serve people.

` Christ’s empty tomb guarantees our victory over sin and death.

` Don’t let yesterday’s failures bankrupt tomorrow’s efforts.

` The resurrection is a fact of history that demands a response of faith.
