The believers hope is expressed in several glorious ways. Note that God Himself is called “the God of Hope” (Romans 15:13).
1 The hope of righteousness.
Galatians 5:5
But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope.
2 The hope of God’s calling.
Ephesians 1:18
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
3 The hope which the lost do not have.
Ephesians 2:12
Remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.
4 The hope of the gospel.
Colossians 1:23
If you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
5 The hope of salvation.
1 Thessalonians 5:8
But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.
6 The “good hope” which God gives.
2 Thessalonians 2:16
May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope,
7 The hope of eternal life.
Titus 1:2
A faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,
Titus 3:7
So that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
8 The “blessed hope” of the Lord’s return.
Titus 2:13
While we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
9 The hope that stirs diligence and gives full assurance.
Hebrews 6:11
We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure.
10 The hope set before believers.
Hebrews 6:18
God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged.
11 The hope which anchors the believers soul.
Hebrews 6:19
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,
12 The hope that stirs belief.
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
13 The living hope – of the believer.
1 Peter 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
14 The hope that stirs believers to purify themselves.
1 John 3:3
Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
