Feet
Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who
bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim
salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
Romans 10:15
And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is
written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Borne sickness
Isaiah 53:4
Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.
Matthew 8:17
This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet
Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.”
Healed by sickness
Isaiah 53:5
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for
our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his
wounds we are healed.
1 Peter 2:24
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we
might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been
healed.
Gone astray
Isaiah 53:6
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned
to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
1 Peter 2:25
For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have
returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
Lamb slaughter / Lamb dumb
Isaiah 53:7
He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his
mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her
shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.
Acts 8:32
The eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture: “He was led
like a sheep to the slaughter and as a lamb before the shearer is silent, so he
did not open his mouth.
