He has a name
Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Exodus 3:13-15
13 Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say
to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What
is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”
14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to
say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
15 God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The LORD,
the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of
Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, the name by which I am to
be remembered from generation to generation.
Exodus 6:3
I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty,
but by my name the LORD I did not make myself known to them.
Exodus 34:14
Do not worship any other god, for
the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.
Psalms 68:4
Sing to God, sing praise to his
name, extol him who rides on the clouds— his name is the LORD— and rejoice
before him.
Isaiah 57:15

holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive
the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.
God Came Near
We are eyewitnesses of his majesty.” 2 Peter 1:16, RSV
God came near. To be
seen.
And ... those who saw him were never the same. “We saw his glory” exclaimed one
follower. “We were eyewitnesses of his majesty,”
whispered a martyr…
Christianity, in its purest form, is nothing more than seeing
