Convicting or healthy
Matthew 27:3
When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was
condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to
the chief priests and the elders.
Satisfied
1 Corinthians 10:25-29
25 Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising
questions of conscience,
26 for, “The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it.”
27 If some unbeliever invites you to a meal and you want to
go, eat whatever is put before you without raising questions of conscience.
28 But if anyone says to you, “This has been offered in
sacrifice,” then do not eat it, both for the sake of the man who told you and
for conscience’ sake—
29 the other man's conscience, I mean, not yours. For why
should my freedom be judged by another's conscience?
Evil
Hebrews 10:22
Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full
assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty
conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
Perfect
Hebrews 9:9
This is an illustration for the present time, indicating that
the gifts and sacrifices being offered were not able to clear the conscience of
the worshiper.
Proverbs 16:20
Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he
who trusts in the LORD.
Thoughts on this verse:
Those who seek the instruction of God's wisdom and who trust
in God for their life's blessings and values will find joyful prosperity. While
this philosophy doesn't play well in the world of commercials, this understanding
is the key to a blessed and prosperous life!
