2 Corinthians 11:23
Are they servants of Christ? I am a better one—I am talking like a madman—with far greater labors, far more imprisonments, with countless beatings, and often near death.
1 Corinthians 4:9
For I think that God has exhibited us apostles as last of all, like men sentenced to death, because we have become a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men.
Philippians 3:10
That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,
Romans 8:18
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
2 Timothy 2:12
If we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us;
2 Timothy 3:12
Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
1 Peter 4:1
Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,
Romans 8:25
But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
Thoughts on Today's Verse....
I'm not good at waiting. But, my hope in the Lord gives me patience that is beyond my human tendency. As much as the Lord has blessed me, I'm fully confident that I can't even imagine the good things he has in store for me.
So while I wait, I try to stay busy; busy loving my Father in heaven and sharing his grace with others.
