In a world that falls for facades and seems to give more credit for intentions than actions, don't you find it refreshing that Paul expects that faith, hope, and love will naturally produce certain actions.
Decreasing into His Purpose
John 3:30
He must increase, but I must decrease.
Vision by personal purity
Matthew 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.
Isn’t there some misunderstanding?
John 11:7-8
Then after this He said to the disciples, “Let us go to Judea again.”
The disciples said to Him, “Rabbi, lately the Jews sought to stone You, and are You going there again?”
Holiness V/s Hardness
Isaiah 59:16
He saw that there was no man,
And wondered that there was no intercessor;
Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him;
And His own righteousness, it sustained Him.
Who is your first love?
Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. — Psalm 105:4
When we honestly evaluate where we use our time, how we spend our money, what we think about most often, and where we put forth our best efforts, what do we find? Is God our consuming passion? Is he our first love?
