Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving – in everything:

1 Thessalonians 5:18

 Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Thanksgiving – in private worship:

Daniel 6:10

 Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.

Thanksgiving – in public worship:

Psalms 35:18 

I will give you thanks in the great assembly; among throngs of people I will praise you.

Thanksgiving – upon the completion of great undertakings:

Nehemiah 12:31

  I had the leaders of Judah go up on top of the wall. I also assigned two large choirs to give thanks. One was to proceed on top of the wall to the right, toward the Dung Gate.

Thanksgiving – before taking food:

John 6:11  

Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.
