Why I am so certain:

By Billy Graham

Whenever anyone asks me how I can be so certain about who and what God really is, I am reminded of the story of little boy who was out flying a kite.

It was a fine day to go kite-flying, the wind was brisk and large billowy clouds were blowing across the sky. The kite went up and up until it was entirely hidden by the clouds.

“What are you doing?” a man asked the little boy. “I am flying a kite,” he replied. “Flying a kite, are you?” the man asked. “How can you be sure? You can’t see your kite.”  “No”, said the little boy, “I can’t see it, but every little while I feel a tug, so I know for sure that it’s there.”

Don’t take anyone else’s world for God. Find Him for yourself, and then you too will know by the wonderful, warm tug on your heartstring, that He is there for sure.

Moses a Hidden Man

(House—river Nile—Desert—Wilderness—Mountain—Rock—Grave)

Hidden in the house:

By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s command.       …Hebrews 11:23

Hidden in a basket in rive Nile:

But when she could no longer hide him, she took an ark of bulrushes for him, daubed it with asphalt and pitch, put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by river bank. …Exodus 2:3

Hidden in the Desert:

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Mididan. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.      … Exodus 3:1

Hidden in the Wilderness:

So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of shur. And they went three days in the wilderness and found no water.               …Exodus 15:22

Hidden on the Mountain:

Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has became of him.”             …Exodus 32:1

Hidden in a cleft in the Rock:

So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the clept of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by…Exodus 33:22

Hidden in the Grave:

So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the Word of the LORD. And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth Peor, but no one knows his grave to this day.
