The Spirit of Man Can Be.

Provoked:

Psalms 106:33

Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spoke unadvisedly with his lips.

Hasty:

Proverbs 14:29

He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

Haughty:

Proverbs 16:18

Pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.

Humble:
Proverbs 16:19

Better it is to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Ruled:

Proverbs 16:32

He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

Wounded or hurt:

Proverbs 18:14

The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?

Evangelism

"In the evening I was favored with great faith and fervency in prayer. It seemed as if God would deny me nothing, and I wrestled for multitudes of souls, and could not help hoping there would be revival here." - Edward Payson
