Look down from heaven and see from your lofty throne, holy and glorious. Where are your zeal and your might? Your tenderness and compassion are withheld from us.

This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “When I bring them back from captivity, the people in the land of Judah and in its towns will once again use these words: ‘The LORD bless you, O righteous dwelling, O sacred mountain.’

Of God’s revelation

Psalms 60:6

God has spoken from his sanctuary: “In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Succoth.

Of God’s oath

Once for all, I have sworn by my holiness— and I will not lie to David—

The Sovereign LORD has sworn by his holiness: “The time will surely come when you will be taken away with hooks, the last of you with fishhooks.

Thought

It is a thing most wonderful,

Almost too wonderful to be,

To die to save me child like me!
