(Scripture 2 Timothy 3:1-5).
You must know that perilous times are coming and turn away
from selfish and ungodly men.
As a believer, you must know the ungodly marks of the last
days and turn away from ungodly men. In the last days, men shall be:
- Lovers of
their own selves: selfish and self-centered.
- Covetous:
lovers of money and possessions.
- Boasters:
braggarts, pretenders.
- Blasphemers:
slanderers, insulters, cursers of God and man.
- Proud: conceited,
arrogant, putting oneself above others.
- Disobedient
to parents.
- Unthankful:
having no gratitude or appreciation.
- Without
natural affection: having abnormal affection, being homosexual; without love
and care.
- Trucebreakers:
breakers of agreements and promises; being untrustworthy and treacherous.
- False
accusers: slanderers.
- Incontinent:
undisciplined and uncontrolled; given to pleasure and indulgence, passion
and sexual cravings, lust and lewdness.
- Fierce:
savage and untamed.
- Despisers of
the good: hating both good people and good things.
- Traitors:
betrayers of country, friends, family, team; having little, if any, attachment
or loyalty.
- Heady:
headstrong and reckless, rash and hasty, giving little thought to the
consequences.
- High-minded:
puffed up and conceited; feeling more important than others.
- Lovers of
pleasure more than lovers of God.
- Religious,
but belonging to a powerless religion:
having a form of godliness, but denying the power of God to save from
sin, death, and judgment to come.
