Meanings to lifting up on hands.


An act of Worship

Psalms 134:2  

Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the LORD.

Psalms 143:6  

I spread out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land.

An act of judgment.

Isaiah 25:11  

They will spread out their hands in it, as a swimmer spreads out his hands to swim. God will bring down their pride despite the cleverness of their hands.

An act of creation

Isaiah 45:12
