Ways we are to be like JESUS.

Righteousness:

1 John 3:7

 Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 

John 15: 10-14

 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this that he lay down his life for his friends.

1 Corinthians 1:30

 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

Ephesians 1:4

 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.

Freedom from the world:

John 17:14-16

 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.

Romans 12:1

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.

James 4:4

You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

1 John 2:15

 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
