Billy Graham Quotes
William F. Graham, more commonly known as Billy Graham, was
born in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 7, 1918.
He was voted one of
the ten most admired men in the world by Gallop poll more than fifty times. He
and his late wife Ruth have 5 children and 19 grandchildren. Billy Graham
committed his life to Christ when he was 15 years old at a revival meeting in
Charlotte. He was ordained 5 years later into the Southern Baptist Convention.
He is best known for his evangelistic crusades
and is said to be responsible for preaching the more than 200 million people in
his lifetime.
During his many years
of preaching and speaking in front of millions, Billy Graham has said some
amazing things. The truth that he preaches is timeless!
“My one purpose in life is to help people find
a personal relationship with God, which, I believe, comes through knowing
Christ.”
Fear is an Option
Feed your fears, and your faith will starve. Feed your faith, and your fears will!
That’s what Jeremiah did.
He said, “I am a man who has seen affliction under the rod of God’s
wrath.” Jerusalem was under siege. His world collapsed like a sand castle in a
typhoon. His body ached. His heart was sick. And Jeremiah faulted God for his horrible
emotional distress. But when he realized
how fast he was sinking, he shifted his gaze.
He said, “But this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.” Jeremiah altered his
thoughts, shifted his attention. He
turned his eyes and looked into the wonder of God. His troubles didn’t cease, but his
discouragement did.
Storms are not an option… but fear
is! …Max Lucado
Thoughts:
.. He does not reveal His glory for His good. We need to
witness it for ours.
.. Refuse to settle for anything less than everything God has
for you.
.. Don’t ever give up just because someone tells you that you
can’t succeed.
.. “The fishermen know that the sea is dangerous and the
storm terrible, but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason for
remaining ashore”…Vincent Van Gogh.
.. God uses difficulties to make us people He can trust and
people He can use.
