Haughty

Proverbs 18:12 

Before his downfall a man's heart is proud, but humility comes before honor.

Jeremiah 48:29 

“We have heard of Moab's pride— her overweening pride and conceit, her pride and arrogance and the haughtiness of her heart.

Bitter

Ezekiel 27:31 

They will shave their heads because of you and will put on sackcloth. They will weep over you with anguish of soul and with bitter mourning.

Hebrews 12:15 

See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to because trouble and defile many.

James 3:14

 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.

Heavy

Proverbs 25:20 

Like one who takes away a garment on a cold day, or like vinegar poured on soda, is one who sings songs to a heavy heart.

New

Ezekiel 18:31 

Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, O house of Israel?

Ezekiel 36:26

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

2 Corinthians 5:17 -18

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:
