John 14:26
But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send
in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have
said to you.
Jesus promised us the Holy Spirit. He describes Him as the
Counsellor or Paraclete (the One that comes alongside to encourage). The Holy
Spirit is sent from the Father (in Jesus' name) and one of His ministry is to
teach us all things and to remind us of what Christ has told us.
Psalms 139:17-18
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is
the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of
sand. When I awake, I am still with you.
The Lord is constantly thinking about you, His child! His
thoughts are always for your good (Jeremiah 29:11). He loves you with an
everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3)! How great is the sum of your thoughts towards
God? How much time do you spend thinking about Him? Remember your Father's love
for you! Recall your identity as His own child! Rejoice in Him and take heart
in whom you have been made to be: one of the everlasting sons of God!
