Spiritual Discipline

Running the Christian race takes dedication and discipline.

1 Corinthians 9:24

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

Morals:

Like a compass, the Bible always points us in the right direction.

Psalms 119:133

Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.

Honesty

There are no degrees of honesty.

Proverbs 12:22

The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in men who are truthful.

Majesty

Deuteronomy 33:26

“There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens to help you and on the clouds in his majesty.

Stability and strength

1 Samuel 2:2

“There is no one holy like the LORD; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.

Greatness

2 Samuel 7:22

“How great you are, O Sovereign LORD! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.

Keeping covenant and mercy

1 Kings 8:23

And said: “O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth below—you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way.
