Adultery Fornication

Christian must not commit adultery.

1.

To avoid fornication let every man have his own wife:

1 Corinthians 7:2

But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.

2.

Whosoever shall put away his wife, except for fornication, causes her to commit adultery:

Matthew 19:9

I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery.”

Matthew 5:32

But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.

3.

For out of the heart proceedeth adulteries and fornications.

Matthew 15:19

For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

Mark 7:21-22

21 For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery,

22 greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly.

4.

The body is not for fornication.

1 Corinthians 6:13

“Food for the stomach and the stomach for food”—but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
