The Book of Isaiah with New Testament Books

Voice

Isaiah 40:3-5

3 A voice of one calling: “In the desert prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God.

4 Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.

5 And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

Matthew 3:3

This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the desert, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’”

Mark 3:3

Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Stand up in front of everyone.”

Cry

Isaiah 40:6-8

6 A voice says, “Cry out.” And I said, “What shall I cry?” “All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field.

7 The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the LORD blows on them. Surely the people are grass.

8 The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.”

James 1:10-11

10 But the one who is rich should take pride in his low position, because he will pass away like a wild flower.

11 For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will fade away even while he goes about his business.

1 Pet 1:24

Mind

Isaiah 40:13

Who has understood the mind of the LORD, or instructed him as his counselor?

Romans 11:34

“Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?”

1 Corinthians 2:16

“For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
