Thoughts

1. Sin: If God’s Word guides your conscience, let your conscience be your guide.

2. Pride: Proverbs 16:18 - Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

3. The only way to survive in a world of deception is by trusting the one who will never deceive    us.

4. Christ’s empty tomb guarantees our victory over sin and death.

5. Only God can transform a sin stained soul into a masterpiece of grace.

6. God sends warnings to protect us, not to punish us.

7. Numbers 32:23 “But if you fail to do this, you will be sinning against the LORD; and you may be sure that your sin will find you out.

8. God forgives our sins completely to restore us to His presence and service.

9. God does not save us by grace so that we may live in disgrace.

10. Confession to God brings cleansing from God.

11. To stay on course, trust the compass of God’s world.

12. Christ’s cleansing power can remove the most stubborn stain of sin.

13. Through faith in Christ, we receive God’s pardon and escape sin’s penalty.

Evangelism:

"We have found no means so much blessed to keep religion alive as FASTING and PRAYER." - Edward Payson

"To every toiling, heavy-laden sinner, Jesus says, ‘come to me and rest’. But there are many toiling, heavy-laden believers, too. For them this same invitation is meant. Note well the words of Jesus, if you are heavy-laden with your service, and do not mistake it. It is not, ‘Go, labor on,’ as perhaps you imagine. On the contrary, it is stop, turn back, ‘Come to me and rest.’ Never, never did Christ send a heavy laden one to work; never, never did He send a hungry one, a weary one, a sick or sorrowing one, away on any service. For such the Bible only says, ‘Come, come, come.’ – Hudson Taylor
