Evangelism

Evangelism

~ "When you are on a mission to the missing, conversion and disciple making often get blurred, overlapping and combined like ingredients poured into a mixing bowl. That's why Jesus told us to make disciples, not converts. The linear, multistep sequence we think of as a normal path to conversion doesn't happen in reality, even when we have a willing disciple. There are always twists and turns. Always surprises. If you are too scripted with your evangelistic expectations, you won't be agile enough to stay connected with the people Jesus misses most." -  Jim Henderson

The truth shall set you free

John 8:32

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

~ Jesus sets us free from sin

~ Jesus sets us free from prejudice

~ Jesus sets us free from self

~ Jesus sets us free from narrow-mindedness.

Thoughts

~ When I speak of a person growing in grace, I mean simply this- that his sense of sin is becoming deeper, his faith stronger, his hope brighter, his love more extensive, and his spiritual mindedness more marked…J. C. Ryle

~ Just think: Every promise God has ever made finds its fulfillment in Jesus.  God doesn't just give us grace; he gives us Jesus, the Lord of grace.  If it's peace, it's only found in Jesus, the Prince of Peace.  Even life itself is found in the Resurrection and the Life.  Christianity isn't all that complicated...its Jesus…Joni Eareckson Tada

God’s Word for God’s People

God Directs If...

Proverbs 3:5-6

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Looking to the Lord

Jeremiah 17:7

“But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.

1 Samuel 2:2

“There is no one holy like the LORD; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.
