God’s Word in the Human Heart

God’s Word in the Human Heart

Jeremiah 20:9

But if I say, “I will not mention him or speak any more in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.

God’s Word in the human heart:

~ Keeps us in the path of righteousness

~ Draws us into fellowship with the faithful

~ Sustains us in difficult times.

Peace, Be Still

Mark 4:39

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

Jesus says to us, “Peace, be still,” when:

~ We are in a hopeless situation

~ We are on the high seas of trouble

~ Contrary winds blow about us.

Smile:

~ There is a radiance hidden in your heart that the world desperately needs…John and Stasi Eldredge

~ On the average, children laugh 300 times a day, adults. Only 15! … Joann Bruso

~ Parents need to fill a child's bucket of self-esteem so high that the rest of the world can't poke enough holes in it to drain it dry…Alvin Price

Evangelism

~ "No strategy, tactics, or clever marketing campaign could ever clear away the smokescreen that surrounds Christianity in today's culture. The perceptions of outsiders will change only when Christians strive to represent the heart of God in every relationship and situation." – Gabe Lyons
