Nehemiah
Nehemiah 6:11
But I said, “Should a man like me run away? Or should one
like me go into the temple to save his life? I will not go!”

Please read Matthew chapter 27
Stephen
Acts 7:51-60
51 “You stiff-necked people, with uncircumcised hearts and
ears! You are just like your fathers: You always resist the Holy Spirit!
52 Was there ever a prophet your fathers did not persecute?
They even killed those who predicted the coming of the Righteous One. And now
you have betrayed and murdered him—
53 you who have received the law that was put into effect
through angels but have not obeyed it.”
54 When they heard this, they were furious and gnashed their
teeth at him.
55 But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven
and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.
56 “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man
standing at the right hand of God.”
57 At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of
their voices, they all rushed at him,
58 dragged him out of the city and began to stone him.
Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their clothes at the feet of a young man named
Saul.
59 While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus,
receive my spirit.”
60 Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do not
hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep.
Paul
Acts 20:22-24
22 “And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to
Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.
23 I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me
that prison and hardships are facing me.
24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I
may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task
of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.
Peter and John
Acts 4:18-20
18 Then they called them in again and commanded them not to
speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.
19 But Peter and John replied, “Judge for yourselves whether
it is right in God's sight to obey you rather than God.
20 For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and
heard.”
Acts 5:41-42
41 The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they
had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.
42 Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to
house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is
the Christ.
