Amos
7:14-15
14
Amos answered Amaziah, “I was neither a prophet nor a prophet's son, but I was
a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees.
15
But the LORD took me from tending the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my
people Israel.’

a fearful servant (Elisha’s)

Kings 6:15-17
15
When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning,
an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh, my lord, what
shall we do?” the servant asked.
16
“Don't be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than
those who are with them.”
17
And Elisha prayed, “O LORD, open his eyes so he may see.” Then the LORD opened
the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots
of fire all around Elisha.

Numbers
22:22-27
22
But God was very angry when he went, and the angel of the LORD stood in the
road to oppose him. Balaam was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were
with him.
23
When the donkey saw the angel of the LORD standing in the road with a drawn
sword in his hand, she turned off the road into a field. Balaam beat her to get
her back on the road.
24
Then the angel of the LORD stood in a narrow path between two vineyards, with
walls on both sides.
25
When the donkey saw the angel of the LORD, she pressed close to the wall,
crushing Balaam's foot against it. So he beat her again.
26
Then the angel of the LORD moved on ahead and stood in a narrow place where
there was no room to turn, either to the right or to the left.
27
When the donkey saw the angel of the LORD, she lay down under Balaam, and he
was angry and beat her with his staff.
