Go back and walk no more with God and Christ

John 6:66  

From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.

Be filled with their own ways

Proverbs 14:14  

The faithless will be fully repaid for their ways, and the good man rewarded for his.

Play the harlot again

Jeremiah 3:6  

During the reign of King Josiah, the LORD said to me, “Have you seen what faithless Israel has done? She has gone up on every high hill and under every spreading tree and has committed adultery there.

Commit adultery again

Jeremiah 3:8  

I gave faithless Israel her certificate of divorce and sent her away because of all her adulteries. Yet I saw that her unfaithful sister Judah had no fear; she also went out and committed adultery.

NOT inherit the Kingdom of God

1 Corinthians 6:9-11  

9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Return if they want to

Jeremiah 3:12  

Go; proclaim this message toward the north: “‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the LORD, ‘I will frown on you no longer, for I am merciful,’ declares the LORD, ‘I will not be angry forever.

Jeremiah 3:22  

“Return, faithless people; I will cure you of backsliding.” “Yes, we will come to you, for you are the LORD our God.

Though not forced by God to do so

Revelation 22:17  

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.
