Significance of the name of Jesus

Acts 4:10

Then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.

Our salvation is in the name of Jesus:

Acts 4:12

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

Miracles are done in Jesus’ name:

Mark 9:39

“Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me,

Acts 4:30

Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

Paul preached in the name of Jesus:

Acts 9:27-29

27 But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus.

28 So Saul stayed with them and moved about freely in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord.

29 He talked and debated with the Grecian Jews, but they tried to kill him.

Philip preached Kingdom of God and Jesus’ name:

Acts 8:12

But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
