Thoughts

Thoughts

They crucified him with the criminals.  Do you know what this implies?  Don't be too surprised if I tell you that this was the first Christian fellowship, the first certain, indissoluble, and indestructible Christian community.  Christian community is manifest wherever there is a group of people close to Jesus who are with him in such a way that they are directly and unambiguously affected by his promise and assurance.  These may hear that everything he is, he is for them, and everything he does, he does for them.  To live by this promise is to be a Christian community. - Karl Barth

~ Most Christians expect little from God, ask little, and therefore receive little, and are content with little….A. W. Pink

~ We are not sinners because we sin; we sin because we are sinners…R. C. Sproul

~ No individual has any right to come into the world and go out of it without leaving behind him distinct and legitimate reasons for having passed through it….George Washington Carver

Ø You never know when one kind act or word of encouragement can change a life forever. Zig Ziglar

Are you Far From Home?

We have a lot of runaway people today. The world is filled with them. The first man, Adam, was a runaway. He left the presence of God. He disobeyed God. God came looking for him and said, “Adam, where are you?” even though God knew where he was.

God knows where we are, too, but He wants us to know where we are. Where are we spiritually? Where are we morally? That is what God is interested in.

Daily Thoughts

` Jesus takes us as we are and makes us what we should be.

` A limited situation may afford the soul a chance to grow.

` Listening may be the most loving and Christ like thing you do today.

` God’s love became incarnate at Bethlehem.

Proverbs 3:25-26

25 Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,

26 for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.

What guards your heart from fear? Only one protector is sure and faithful, his name is the LORD. He is our confidence and protector. As Paul said so powerfully long ago, prayer and the Holy Spirit are our assurance of God's deliverance. Either we will be delivered from death to serve God powerfully or we will be delivered through death to share with him in eternity. We will not be snared when our fate and future remain in God's hands!
