A Plea for Divine Assistance

Psalms 25:4-25

24 Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths;

5 guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

There are four basic requests in the psalmist’s plea:

1. Show me thy ways - v. 4

2. Teach me thy paths - v. 4

3. Lead me in thy truth - v. 5

4. Keep my soul - v. 20

Daily Thoughts

. Rest your assurance on God’s love in your heart--not on the fear in your mind.

. God came to live with us that we might live with Him.

. Every child of God should grow in in likeness to the son of God.

. We have to face our sins before we can put them behind us.

. It’s never too soon to repent, but soon it may be too late.

. He who is in you is greater than He who is in the World. - 1 John 4:4

. Death is not a period it’s only a comma.

. You won’t find opportunities to witness if you’re not looking for them.

Matthew 18:15

“If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.

Thoughts on Today's Verse....

The right thing is so hard to do sometimes. It seems so much easier to gossip about someone who has wronged us, or to mention them in a group prayer as needing help, or to pass around an innuendo when talking about struggling Christians. But, only one thing is the right thing when we have been wounded by the action of another brother or sister in Christ! Go to the person who has wronged you, try to keep the damage contained to just the two of you, and work on being reconciled. This is God's desire, and should be our goal as his children.
