May the God of peace and grace and truth be your guide as you begin your day. May he go ahead of you and prepare the way. May he come behind you and protect you. May he surround you and make you aware of his presence
“I ask the Father in his great glory to give you the power to be strong inwardly through his Spirit. I pray that Christ will live in your hearts by faith and that your life will be strong in love and be built on love.” Ephesians 3:16-17
Tender hearts –
We give support to each other because God gives us support, and we’re to encourage others with the encouragement we receive from him. (2 Corinthians 1:4) In the New Testament, the word ‘support’ can literally mean “to increase one another’s potential.” (Romans 14:19) We strengthen one another by extending love, instead of fostering fear, and we do that by offering relationships that are safe and sympathetic.
Like father, like son
People often use the phrase “like father, like son” to refer to family resemblance. When people see my likeness in my kids, it pleases me. God wants his children to bear his image and likeness, too.
The Bible says we “must put on the new self, who is created in God's likeness and reveals itself in the true life that is upright and holy.” (Ephesians 4:24)
Daily Thoughts
You can’t glorify self and Christ at the same time.
No one knows the grace of God Who does not know the fear of God.
To tackle life’s problems, trust God’s promises.
We don’t know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future.
Beware! Error often rides to its deadly work on the back of truth!
When you count your blessings, it adds up to thankfulness.
We are never so empty as when we are full of self.
Christ showed His love by dying for us; we show our love by living for Him.
