Made to last forever

This world is fading away, along with everything it craves. But if you do will of God, you will live forever. - 1 John 2:17 (NLT).

Measured against eternity, our time on earth is just a blink of an eye, but the consequences of it will last forever. The deeds of this life are the destiny of the next. We should be “realizing that every moment we spend away from our eternal home in heaven with Jesus” (2 Cor. 5:6). Years ago a popular slogan encouraged people to live each day as “the day of the rest of your life.” Actually, it would be wiser to live each day as if it were the last day of your life.

Matthew Henry said, “It ought to be the business if every day to prepare our final day.”

Quotes

“Short term success is not what we are going after, it’s long term success…and it looks like faithfulness, obedience & loving well.” Banning Liebscher

“Eternity is the cornerstone of all logic and reason.” Bill Johnson

“God placed a seed in you, your responsibility is two nurture & water that gift until the world sees what He knew all along.” Sarah Jakes

He Keeps My Soul

 “Though billows roll, He keeps my soul, my heavenly Father watches over me.” -William C. Martin

The Christian

 “There are no accidents in the life of the Christian.” — Rowland Bingham

Humility

"Humility is perfect quietness of heart, It is to expect nothing, to wonder at nothing that is done to me, to feel nothing done against me. It is to be at rest when nobody praises me, and when I am blamed or despised. It is to have a blessed home in the Lord, where I can go in and shut the door, and kneel to my Father in secret, and am at peace as in a deep sea of calmness, when all around and above is trouble." - Andrew Murray

JESUS

. Our God is huge!  He is mighty! He is everywhere and knows everything!

.  He is worthy of all our praises, honor and worship.

. God who planned all things, including the details of our lives;

. He knows every nerve in our body. This is the God who has saved us and forgiven us of our sins.
