Steps to Holiness

Under the Old Covenant, holiness called Israel to live distinctly from the nations, primarily in the external matters of the Law. However, Jesus calls His people to a holiness that proceeds from the heart. Holiness is now the outcome of personal loyalty to God and the realization of the fulfilling fruitfulness originally intended for mankind.

Proverbs 8:13

To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.

Thoughts on Today's Verse....

When we have a deep and reverential respect for our holy God, we are going to love what he loves and hate what he hates. We need to realize, however, that the word "hate" is used very carefully in Scripture. This strong verb is not used often, and when it is used with God as the subject, the object of God's hatred needs to be noticed. God hates evil, which in this case is defined as pride, arrogance, evil behavior, and vile speech. These are things that Christians not only avoid, but they also loathe. God wants his people to be people of character — people of humility, moral behavior, and helpful speech.

Thought

The importance of Good People in our Life is just like the importance of our Heartbeat…it’s not visible but silently supports our Life…

“Heaven is full of answers to prayers for which no one ever bothered to ask.”

“Take pride what God has given you.”

“You therefore must be perfect, as you’d Heavenly Father is perfect.” - Matthew 5:48

“I have so much to do (today) that I should spend the first three hours in prayer.”

Wisdom

A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them.

Help for Heavy Lord.

Numbers 11:7

“I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take of the Spirit that is on you and put the Spirit on them. They will help you carry the burden of people so that you will have to carry it alone.

Friends, as followers of Jesus, we don’t have to handle our burdens alone either. We have Jesus Himself, who is always willing and able to help us. And He has given us brothers and sisters in Christ to share the load. When we give Him the things that weigh us down, He gives us wisdom and support in return.
Amen.
