We wait for the blessed hope of the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Thoughts on This Verse....
One way to view our lives is to see them as a wait. Long or short, we live in anticipation, waiting for our "blessed hope." This hope is rooted in Jesus' promise to return. But more than just his return, our hope is rooted in his glorious appearance as our Savior. On that day, our trust in Jesus as Lord will be validated and our highest dreams realized.
Thoughts
- Even the best people have nothing to boast about.
- Let’s give our loving thanks for our Lord’s lavish gifts.
- What the Word of God is to the soul, water is to the body.
- The world may discount you, but in God’s eyes you are priceless.
Enmity -Enemies
An enemy of all righteousness:
Acts 13:10
10 and said, “O full of all deceit and all fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord?
The enemies of the cross of Christ:
18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

Thus all below is strength, and all above is grace.
I just had to be the person God made me to be.
Politeness is the blossom of our humility.
A stiff apology is a second insult.
God does not call you to be successful, but He calls you to be faithful.

God honors the “always” prayers. God honors the “watchful” “persevering” prayers of His people.
