Try God and See

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, siath the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” – Matt. 3:10

1. The bringing (man’s part): “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse”

2. The opening (God’s part): “Open you the windows of heaven”

3. The pouring (God in action): “And pour you out a blessing

4. The overflowing (God giving and man receiving): “There shall not be room enough to receive it.

Love

Christian life consists of faith and charity.

Salvation

The problem isn't with us accepting Jesus; it's with Jesus accepting us. We have every reason to receive Him. But "what is man that thou art mindful of him?"

A plea for mercy

“And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way, side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out saying. Have mercy on us, O Lord, son of David.” – Matt. 20:30

Have mercy on us, O Lord because:

1. We have acknowledged our condition before you

2. We believe that you have the power to save

3. We are willing to follow You.

1 John 3:1

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

Thoughts on This Verse....

Some gifts are too precious for words and too wonderful to fully appreciate. The greatest of these gifts is that we are God's children! We have been adopted into the Father's family! Jesus claims us as his younger siblings! Even though the world may not acknowledge this, that condition doesn't make it any less true.

After all, the world didn't recognize its Creator when he became flesh and lived among the people he had made. God's Word, however, still proclaims the truth; we ARE the children of God!
