Church – Ministry – 2

. Quality refers to the  kind of disciples a church produces. Quantity refers to the number of disciples a church produces.

. Asking for commitment doesn’t turn people off; but  it is the way many churches ask for it.

. Jesus never lowered his standards but he always started where people were.

. It takes  more than dedication to lead a church to grow,  it takes  skill.

. Churches grow by the power of God through the skilled effort of people.

. While  we wait for God to work for us, God is waiting, to work through us.

. Never confuse methods with the message. The message must never  change, but the methods must change with each new generation.

. Ministry must be both faithful. God expects both from us.

. Success is bearing  as much fruit as possible given your gifts,  opportunities, and potential.

. God has  not called us to be original at everything He has called us to be effective.

. You can learn from other churches without becoming a clone.

. the church should be seeker, sensitive but  it must not be seeker driven.

. Plans, programs, and personalities don’t last. But God’s purpose will last.

. Absolutely nothing will revitalize a discouraged church faster than rediscovering its purpose.

. Your  church’s  foundation will determine both its size and strength. You can never build larger than your foundation can handle.

. A clear purpose not only defines what we do, it defines what we don’t do.

. Evaluate your church by asking “What is our business?” and then, “Have’s business?”

. It isn’t our job to create the purposes of the church but to discover them.

. We may be innovative with the style of ministry, but we must never alter the substance of it.

. A Great commitment to the Great commandment and the Great commission will grow a Great chur.

. As Christians we’re called to belong not just to believe.

. Don’t focus on growing a church with programs, focus on growing people with a purpose.
