Examples of Quiet Time


. Abraham

Genesis 22:3

Early the next morning  Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about.

Isaac

Genesis 24:63

He went out to the field one evening to meditate,  and as he looked up,  he saw camels approaching.

Moses

Exodus 34:4

So Moses chiseled  out two stone tablets like the first ones and went up Mount Sinai early in the morning, as the Lord had commanded him; and he carried the two stone tablets in his hands.

Joshua

Joshua 3:1

Early in the morning Joshua and all the Israelites set out from Shittim  and went to the Jordan,  where they camped before crossing over.

Samuel

1 Samuel 3:1

The boy Samuel ministered  before the Lord under Eli. In those days the word of the Lord was rare;  there were not many visions.
