Guidelines for Growing in Godliness
Godliness means being faithful to God in all that we do. Faithfulness involves letting God and His Word be our exclusive resource of any knowledge we have about Him, His ways, or spiritual reality. The godly person avoids any contact with the occult.
9:1
Be warned that unfaithfulness to God may result in our hearts and minds being taken captive by the world system.
10:13
Do not seek out spiritual information or insight from any spiritual source other than the Holy Spirit or Christ cantered counsellors. Be warned that doing so can result in serious judgment, even death.
From 1 Chronicles – 22:19 & 28:7-10
Steps to Dynamic Devotion
We must never allow anything to become more important to us than our pursuit of God. Even learn to guard against letting the things of God become more important than knowing God Himself.
22:19
Understand that God gives you times of peace and rest so that you can devoted your heart and soul to seeking Him.
28:7-10
Be diligent in the things God gives you to do. Serve God with unswerving devotion. Understand that the Lord honours those who honour His Word and seek Him with all their heart.
