1] It is given for the common good –
1 Corinthians 12:7
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
2] God gives it as He determines –
1 Corinthians 12:11
But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
3] We shall not be ignorant of it –
1 Corinthians 12:1
Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant
4] We should eagerly desire it –
1 Corinthians 12:31
But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.
5] Follow love ad eagerly desire –
1 Corinthians 14:1
Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy
6] Use it to serve others –
1 Peter 4:10
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
7] God be praised through it –
1 Peter 4:11
If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
8] Use it for strengthening the Church –
1 Corinthians 14:3
But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.
9] It’s possible for carnal believers to have it –
1 Corinthians 1:7
So that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,
1 Corinthians 3:1
And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.
