Our God – Acts 7:2

The God of Glory – Acts 7:2
To this he replied: “Brothers and fathers,  listen to me! The God of glory  appeared to our father Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Harran.

The God of our God – Psalm 48:14
For this God is our God for ever and ever;
 he will be our guide  even to the end.

Questions in Joshua

17:14
The people of Joseph said to Joshua, “Why have you given us only one allotment and one portion for an inheritance? We are a numerous people, and the Lord has blessed us abundantly.”

18:3
So Joshua said to the Israelites: “How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has given you?

22:16
“The whole assembly of the Lord says: ‘How could you break faith  with the God of Israel like this? How could you turn away from the Lord and build yourselves an altar in rebellion  against him now?

Thought

. We were chaff, now we are wheat;
we were dross, now we are gold;
we were ravens, now we are doves;
we were goats, now we are sheep;
we were thorns, now we are grapes;
we were thistles, now we are lilies;
we were strangers, now we are citizens;
we were harlots, now we are virgins;
hell was our inheritance, now heaven is our possession;
we were children of wrath, now we are sons of mercy;
we were bondslaves to Satan, now we are heirs of God and co-heirs with Jesus Christ. - James Bisse
