Our Reaction to Sin – 1 John 1:9

Confess it to God:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins  and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Should hate it
Proverbs 8:13
To fear the Lord  is to hate evil;
 I hate  pride and arrogance,
 evil behavior and perverse speech.

Questions in Amos

6:2
Go to Kalneh  and look at it;
 go from there to great Hamath,
 and then go down to Gath  in Philistia.
 Are they better off than  your two kingdoms?
 Is their land larger than yours?

6:10
And if the relative who comes to carry the bodies out of the house to burn them  asks anyone who might be hiding there, “Is anyone else with you?” and he says, “No,” then he will go on to say, “Hush!  We must not mention the name of the Lord.”

Deuteronomy 9:17

[Moses reminds the Israelites of his reaction to seeing the golden calf by saying,] "So I took the two tablets and threw them out of my hands, breaking them to pieces before your eyes." -

Anger, frustration, disappointment, and loss of self-control have sunk many of God's greatest leaders. Leading can sometimes be a horribly disappointing task. Yet God's people would perish without strong leaders full of godly conviction. Despite the failure of some of our leaders and the perils that can beset those who choose to lead, leadership is as honorable as it is vital!

Where would Israel have been without Moses or Joshua or Hezekiah or David...? So if the Lord is calling you to lead, don't accept his invitation lightly, but please, accept it! If you are not a leader, please remember to pray for your leaders and their families.
