The Character of God

Romans 5:3-4

“Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

What are you living to produce in your life? Wealth, fame, status, significance, a legacy? How about character! Isn't having the character of God our real goal in life? So even in our worst of times, if we can be people of character, then nothing can steal from us our most desired goal, the character of God, given us in Jesus Christ.

Activities of Satan

To bring doubt about God’s goodness – Genesis 3:5
For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God,  knowing good and evil.”

Fill the heart to lie to the Holy Spirit – Acts 5:3
Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan  has so filled your heart  that you have lied to the Holy Spirit  and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?

Questions in Amos

3:5
Does a bird swoop down to a trap on the ground
 when no bait  is there?
Does a trap spring up from the ground
if it has not caught anything?

3:6
When a trumpet  sounds in a city,
 do not the people tremble?
When disaster  comes to a city,
has not the Lord caused it?
