Questions in Genesis – 24:23

24:31
Come, you who are blessed by the Lord,”  he said. “Why are you standing out here? I have prepared the house and a place for the camels.”

24:47
“I asked her, ‘Whose daughter are you?’
“She said, ‘The daughter of Bethuel  son of Nahor, whom Milkah bore to him.’
“Then I put the ring in her nose  and the bracelets on her arms,

24:58
So they called Rebekah and asked her, “Will you go with this man?”
 “I will go,”  she said.

24:65
and asked the servant, “Who is that man in the field coming to meet us?”
“He is my master,” the servant answered. So she took her veil  and covered herself.

Colossians 1:18

He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. —

Jesus is the living leader and head of his church. There is no man who has this right. No one but Jesus has earned this position. Jesus is supreme. Even though supremacy is rightfully his because of his divinity, he has earned his supremacy by what he has done for us. He was there before there was a beginning, he was the Creator of all that is, and he was the one who passed through death victoriously for us.

Praying for Others

Peter and John prayed for Samaritans – Acts 8:15
When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit,

The Church prayed for Peter – Acts 12:5
So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.
