Respecting Each Other

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. — 1 Timothy 4:12

How do you command the respect of others when you are young? You don't! You earn that respect by the character and quality of your life. Those of us who are older must recognize and validate younger Christians who are people of character and faith.

Those of us who are younger, need to live a life of character that cannot be questioned. Character, morality, faith, and loving kindness are essential attributes of the Christian, no matter his or her age.

Something Wrong

Psalm 34:11-18
Come, you children, listen to me;
 I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
  Who is the man who desires life,
 And loves many days, that he may see good?
  Keep your tongue from evil,
 And your lips from speaking deceit.
  Depart from evil and do good;
 Seek peace and pursue it.
  The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
 And His ears are open to their cry.
  The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
 To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
  The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears,
 And delivers them out of all their troubles.
  The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart,
 And saves such as have a contrite spirit.
