How to Overcome Temptation? - 1

1. By Resolving – Daniel 1:8   
But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king's food, or with the wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to defile himself.

2. By Feeling – 1 Timothy 6:11
But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.

3. By Trusting Away – 1 Timothy 6:20
O Timothy, guard the deposit entrusted to you. Avoid the irreverent babble and contradictions of what is falsely called “knowledge,”  for by professing it some have swerved from the faith.

4. By Avoiding – 2 Timothy 2:16
But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness, 

5. By Escaping – Genesis 39:12

6. By Making Covenant – Job 31:1
“I have made a covenant with my eyes;
how then could I gaze at a virgin?

7. By Guidance – Proverbs 11:14
Where there is no counsel, the people fall;
 But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.

8. By Being Firm – 2 Kings 5:16
But he said, “As the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will receive nothing.” And he urged him to take it, but he refused.

9. By Indwelling Word – Psalm 37:31
The law of his God is in his heart;
None of his steps shall slide.
