Mark 3:7-8
So often the people who think they don't believe in Jesus have never been exposed to him. Jesus meets us in many ways, but there are at least two ways that are crucial for most unbelievers. One of the most important ways for folks to meet Jesus is by experiencing him through the gospel stories. (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the New Testament contain these gospel stories.)
A second way for outsiders to experience Jesus is through his presence in the world today through the compassion, care, and character of Jesus' body, the people of his church. In both of these cases, the invitation is nearly always the same: "Come. See for yourself!" One of our biggest opportunities to bring people to Christ is to invite them to meet Jesus and not just to trust what they've heard about him.
Salt and Light
Matthew 5:13
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
Mark 9:50
“Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with each other.”
Matthew 5:16
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
1 Corinthians 10:31
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Sin has remained unchanged, although man has done his best to alter it. We’ve tried to dress it up with other names. We’ve put new labels on the same old bottle of poison. We’ve tried to whitewash the old barn and pretend it was another building. We’ve tried calling sin “errors” or “mistakes” or “poor judgment” but sin itself has stayed the same.
