Why we should trust Jesus?

Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he? — Isaiah 2:22

How many times have you been disappointed by someone for whom you voted, betrayed by a friend, been abandoned by a loved one, or let down by a church leader? While we love others and care about them, every other person in our world is just like us — a flawed human being who breathes the same air and walks the same ground as we do.

Only One is worthy of our ultimate trust. He showed us by sacrificing what was most precious to him so we could know his love. Let's not put our hope in other mere mortals; only God can safeguard our trust. Let's put our hope in him!

Scriptures for Correction

Hebrew 12:10-11
For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

Hebrew 12:6-7
For whom the Lord loves He chastens,
And scourges every son whom He receives.”
If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?

Questions in Job

3:12
Why did the knees receive me?
Or why the breasts, that I should nurse?

3:20-22
“Why is light given to him who is in misery,
And life to the bitter of soul,
Who long for death, but it does not come,
 And search for it more than hidden treasures;
  Who rejoice exceedingly,
And are glad when they can find the grave?
