Give Glory to God

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. — Ephesians 3:20-21

We have far greater power than we often realize. That incredible power is at work within us (see Ephesians 1:18-19). This promise of power, however, is tied to two opportunities God gives us daily. First, it is based on actively asking for God to do great things based upon a holy charged imagination. Second, it is based on our living to bring God glory.

So let's ask, imagine, and give God glory; then let's praise him for doing far greater things than what we ask or even imagine!

The “HOWs” of Commitment

. As a pure virgin – 2 Corinthians 11:2
I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband,  to Christ, so that I might present you  as a pure virgin to him.

. By Faith – Hebrews – 11:4
By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended  as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings.  And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.

. As living sacrifices – Romans 12:1
Therefore, I urge you,  brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice,  holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

. Through the Spirit – Hebrews 9:14
How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit  offered himself  unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences  from acts that lead to death,  so that we may serve the living God!
