Guidance

We see in John 13:13 – Ye call me Master and Lord; and ye say well; for so I am.

He the [Spirit] will never lead you contrary to the Word of God. I hear people saying, “The Lord led to do this … The Lord  told me thus and so … I  am always a little suspicious  unless what the Lord has said  is in keeping with His Word.

God never directs  us to do anything contrary to His Word. The prophet Samuel once said, “Obedience is better than sacrifice.” The Scripture teaches, “He that willeth  to do His will shall know the doctrine.” When you find yourself up a blind alley, no knowing  which way to turn, if you are willing to do His will, He will reveal Himself. He conceals His will only from those who, before they consent to do His bidding, seek to know what He is going to say.

Be an obedient Christian. Remember that “where God guides, He provides. Where He leads, He supplies all needs!”

What’s God’s Will

. To have eternal life
John 6:40
For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son  and believes in him shall have eternal life,  and I will raise them up at the last day.”

. To be sanctified
1 Thessalonians 4:3
It is God’s will  that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality

. To give thanks
1 Thessalonians 5:18
give thanks in all circumstances;  for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

. To do good
1 Peter 2:15
For it is God’s will  that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.

. Little ones not to be lost
Matthew 18:14
When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever.
