Marriage Relationship

The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. — 1 Corinthians 7:4-5

In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Paul told us that our bodies were not our own, but that we had been bought at a price. Once again in chapter 7, he reminds each of us that when we marry, our body is not our own, it belongs to our spouse. We are to use our bodies to bless, please, and bring fulfilment to our marriage partner. This is crucial to our marriage relationship and also to please God!

Debtors

Habakkuk 2:7

Will not your creditors suddenly arise?

Will they not wake up and make you tremble?

Then you will become their prey.

Matthew 6:12

And forgive us our debts,

as we also have forgiven our debtors.

Luke 7:41

Two people owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty

Romans 8:12

Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it.

Prayer

. Thank You, Father, for the ministry of men like Elijah and John the Baptist, who were not ashamed of the gospel of God, for it has the power of God unto salvation to ALL who believe. Thank You for the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who came to Israel as their Messiah and King and was ready and willing to be despised, rejected, falsely accused, and cruelly crucified on the Cross, so that all who believe on His name, would not perish but have everlasting life. Thank You for Your amazing plan of redemption, and use me in whatever way You will, to forward Your perfect redemptive plan. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
